¢700 Million Alleged Bribery Scandal Hits Lord Commey’sOffice
A ¢700 million bribe scandal has hit the Director of Operation at the seat of government, the Jubilee House, Lord ObliteyCommey, a onetime National Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to information intercepted by The Anchor, the said money paid last year by one Barfuor, was given to Chris, one of the ‘boys’ working with the politician, to be handed to his boss, Commey.
It is unclear what Baffour was going to get in return for the money, but it is emerging now that the money has not been refunded, meaning, he did not get whatever he was paying the bribe for.
While Baffour insists he paid the money to the boys to be given to MrCommey, the politician claims he did not receive it.
According to musician and social commentator Kwame ObengAsare, popularly known as A Plus, all efforts to return the said money toBaffour have proven futile.
Even though the musician claims he personally spoke to MrCommey and he promised to get the money back to Baffour and assured him at the time that he was going to ensure the bribe money is paid and those involved punished, months on, payment of the money has not been done after seven months.
Baffour, who is now in a state of despair says even though “Yes, I met him but nobody gave me back my money”.At this point in time I don’t know what to do”.
Disappointed Baffour, who reported the issue first to A Plus last year, is back telling him that, he has still not gotten the 70, 000 from MrCommey and his boys.
He poured his heart out in a message to A Plus saying “I’m just disappointed and devastated. I owe some people and I thought if not all, I could at least get about GHs 50, 000 to pay them off. The pressure is too unbearable”.
In a WhatsApp message, Baffour said “Good morning chief. Hope you are good. I ‘m pretty sure you have forgotten about me totally on the retrieval of my monies GHS 70, 000 from the camp of Lord Commey. You gave me hope & assurance from onset that this is something tiny for you to do but here we are.
Lord said my money didn’t reach him and he never bothered to call whoever (his boys) to return my money to me. His boys also said they gave the money to him directly. This is what it is now. So does it means my money now can’t be retrieved?”
A Plus who is peeved about the latest development, this time went public by sharingBaffour’s message in a facebook post, saying when he was informed about the matter the first time, he spoke to everyone involved in the matter with clear assurance that the money would be paid back.
In his outburst, A Plus described MrCommey’s office as the most notorious place where all sorts of things are perpetuated.
A Plus in his post said in his conversation with the boys around the Director of Operations, he was informed that the money was given to MrCommey adding he still has audio recording of it.
“That office has become the most notorious in Ghana where too many unprintable things happen. I have spoken to Lord Commey personally about Baffour’s money and the people around him who use his name to defraud unsuspecting victims.
He promised to deal with the issue immediately and also ensure that whoever took Baffour’s 70 thousand Ghana cedis returns it to him; it has been well over 7 months but nothing has been done about it for obvious reasons. He and his office have failed to get Chris and his accomplices to return the money or assist the police to arrest them”, he said.

Everybody who knows me, knows that whenever I’m approached to help a victim of abuse or maltreatment, I first contact the accused person to get their side of the story and try to find an amicable solution to the matter. The God of our ancestors is my witness. If I’m lying he should punish me.
Nana Yaw Achampong and all the other guys in Lord Commey’s office will bear me witness that I’ve approached them severally to help Baffour retrieve his money and also deal drastically with the crimes which are perpetuated in their office day in and day out. That office has become the most notorious in Ghana where too many unprintable things happen. He and his office have failed to get Chris and his accomplices to return the money or assist the police to arrest them.
Those who took the money claim it was given to Lord Commey. (I have the voice message on my phone) I’ll post it if they fail to call Baffour to sort the issue out today.
Anyone, who respects themselves and has an image to protect will clear their name immediately an issue like this comes up by at least sacking these guys from their office or handing them over to the police for investigation.
Now that I’ve made this issue public, the same people I’ve been chasing for months will turn around and say “oh we are brothers, you had to come to us so that we discuss and sort it out.”
