Rainstorm destroys Walewale SHS building

Academic activities at the Walewale Technical Senior High School in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region have been suspended following a heavy rainstorm.
The storm destroyed some school properties Tuesday morning.
Classroom blocks, dinning hall and a dormitory block have been totally ripped off, causing the school to suspend academic work.

Headmaster of the school, Sebeyam Ben Ibrahim described the disaster as a heavy blow to academic activities.

“We are making an appeal to our stakeholders. I have made contacts to municipal director of education, regional director of Education and the MCE to at least come to our aid,” he said.
