Veteran Editor Kojo Omaboe Goes Home This Friday
The burial and final funeral rites of the late veteran editor cum proofreader, Samuel Nortey Kojo Omaboe, is scheduled for this Friday, April 12, 2024.
The 76-year-old, whose death occurred on Sunday, March 17, at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a brief illness, will be laid to rest this Friday, at the Osu Cemetery in Accra.
Until his demise, the laid-back low-keyed veteran of over 40-years, was a staff of ‘The Anchor’ where he served as a proofreader.
According to the Nii Ashong, Head of Adzuate Family, there will be no wake keeping.
The burial service will be held at the Adzuate, opposite the Osu Mantse Palace near the Accra Sports Stadium at 9am.
It will be attended by family and friends.
The often-reserved editor, Kojo Omaboe, worked with several media organizations, including the Chronicle, Enquirer, as well as Inquisitor newspaper.
At The Anchor, Mr Omaboe worked with the newspaper from the middle of 2022,through to February 2024.
The experienced journalist, will be missed for his meticulousness and commitment to work.
He was survived by a son, Justin Noi Omaboe.
The Anchor joins his family, other relations, friends in wishing him a peaceful repose.
