NAPO Charges A/R Electorates To Retire NDC
Vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has called on voters in the Ashanti Region, to deliver a crushing defeat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the December 7, general elections.
The largest opposition party, which is presenting its perennial flagbearer, Mr John Dramani Mahama in this year’s general election, Dr Prempeh affectionately called NAPO said, should be rejected at the polls.
Speaking over the weekend, during a health walk in the Manhyia South constituency where until recently, he served as Member of Parliament (MP), NAPO, said the NDC and Mr Mahama should be “retired” from partisan politics.
He tagged persons in the Ashanti Region, who vote for the NDC as “nation-wreckers”, because the NDC has a history of neglecting the Ashanti Region, when in power.
The NPP Vice Presidential candidate, therefore believed, voting for the NDC, would be a betrayal of the region’s interests, hence must be rejected.
NAPO, expressed confidence in the NPP’s victory, but emphasized the need for a resounding win that would send the NDC into political oblivion.
He emphasized that achieving this goal, requires massive support and contributions from residents in the region, urging party members to embark on rigorous campaigns to secure a landslide victory for the NPP.
Dr Prempeh’s remarks, underscore the NPP’s determination to retain power and strengthen its stronghold in the Ashanti Region.
With the 2024 polls approaching, the party is intensifying its campaign efforts, rallying supporters to ensure a decisive win.
The health walk, which drew thousands of NPP supporters, demonstrated the party’s strong grassroots presence in the region, setting the stage for a fierce political contest in the upcoming elections.
Reiterating the NPP’s commitment to secure 85percent of votes in the region, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s running mate, urged supporters to remain loyal to the party by ensuring victory in the upcoming election.
The General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, on his part, tasked women to take the campaign to win the December 7 polls to every corner of the Ashanti Region.
The scribe of the governing party, charged women within the party to take the campaign to the “bedrooms, homes and communities.”
Kodua emphasized his belief in the power of women, urging them to take charge and lead the campaign effort.
“We need you to take our message to every household, every market, and every community. Don’t let the opposition (NDC) deceive the public with lies,” he said.
Kodua’s call to action was met with enthusiasm from the women present, who pledged to mobilize support for the party.
He encouraged them to utilize their networks, sharing the party’s achievements and vision for Ghana’s future.
The General Secretary’s emphasis on women involvement by leveraging their influence, the party aims to secure a decisive victory in the upcoming elections.
With the women of the NPP now more energized than ever, the stage is set for a vibrant and inclusive campaign that reaches every corner of Ghana.
Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, MP for Manhyia South Constituency, confidently declared that residents in the Region will overwhelmingly reject the National Democratic Congress in the 2024 polls, regardless of their promises.
Awuah emphasized that the NPP’s unprecedented development in the Ashanti Region makes a strong case for residents to support the party.
“The NPP’s transformational projects in the region are unbelievable, and the residents will not forget this,” he stated.
Awuah criticized the NDC for consistently neglecting the region’s needs, rendering them undeserving of votes.
