Bawumia ‘Fever’ Grips Tarkwa Electorates

…As Over 10,000 Youth Engage Him At Midnight  

Thousands of electorates at Tarkwa and its surrounding communities on Saturday, September 28, defied the unfriendly weather at night to mob flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), following his visit and promise to bring innovative solutions to Ghana’s challenges.

Even before Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s team could arrived in the town, several party supporters, comprising traders, commercial drivers etc, had abandoned their activities and deserted the streets, to go and catch a glimpse and listen to his message.

Despite the odd hour, the NPP flagbearer and Vice President, spent time to address the mammoth crowd and also engage the youth, where he outlined his polices and vision, if elected President.

Dr Bawumia, explained that his policies for Ghana’s next chapter, will include tax amnesty, harnessing the sun and wind to generate electricity to support Ghana’s current source of energy, zero duty on the importation of solar panels, free tertiary education for persons living with disabilities and expansion of educational infrastructure.

He also promised to reposition Ghana’s education system towards STEM and AI, one student one laptop for tertiary students, easy passport acquisition with the GhanaCard, training of 1,000,000 youth, establishment of the Ghana Sports Secretariat, credit score system, among other game-changing policies.

The Vice President, who was impressed about the nature of the reception received at the mining city, seized the opportunity to also commission the Tarkwa Nsuaem Government Hospital and ‘One district one factory (1D1F) Project at Bonsa, to improve the well-being and livelihoods of the good people of the area.

He expressed appreciation to the electorates for their warm reception, despite the rains and their unwavering support for his vision to lead Ghana to upgrade.

He has also urged them to play active roles in deciding Ghana’s next chapter by voting massively for him and the NPP incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), George Mireku Duker, for resounding victory in the December 7 polls.

No Second-Hand President

Earlier, Dr Bawumia, as parts of his constituency-focused campaign in the Ellembelle Constituency, said a vote for him, is a choice for a “brand new, fresh president” with innovative solutions to Ghana’s challenges.

“Do you want a brand new or second-hand? If you want brand new, then vote for Bawumia. And, also, vote for Kwasi Bonzoh, as your new Member of Parliament,” he stated.

Dr Bawumia, said he deserve to lead Ghana, citing his accomplishments as Vice President.

He highlighted his role in implementing 33 government policies under his guidance, contrasting his record with that of former President John Dramani Mahama.

“So, it means that, I have passed the job as a Vice President. So, vote for me so I become President,” Dr Bawumia said.

The NPP flagbeare, therefore, urged Ghanaians to support his bid for the presidency.
