BBC Dismisses Claims Of DP Ruto’s Bid Being Endorsed by Barack Obama

World’s international news channel BBC Africa has now come out clearly to respond to a video which has gone viral across various social media platforms, claiming that the former US President Barack Obama has picked a side in Kenyan politics.

Through that video, there are claims that the former US boss has taken the political side of the Deputy President William Ruto.

It also indicates that Obama has even gone ahead to endorse DP Ruto’s presidential bid instead of that of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

However according to BBC News Africa, such claims are false and the video which shows that Obama has endorsed DP Ruto has been manipulated to create that narrative which is nowhere closer to truth.

As Kenyans are left with two months to make the final decision on the ballot, many of such like narratives have been created to boost the candidatures of certain politicians by trying to convince Kenyans that they are best fit to lead them.

We have heard of several cases where both the Deputy President and Raila Odinga have been linked to certain endorsement claims by certain prominent leaders across the world.

Even though, some have been true, many of them just like this of DP Ruto and Barack Obama have been false or rather fake. Made with the intention of trying to lure Kenyans to fall into traps of certain politicians.

Besides just endorsement, we have seen some Kenyan Politicians being compared or trying to compare themselves to certain top leaders in the world.

A perfect example is the ticket of Raila Odinga and Martha Karua which has been put by many into comparison to that of US President Joe Biden and his Vice Kamala Harris.
