Special Prosecutor probes contract awarded A&Qs Consortium by NDA
Some alleged shady contracts at the National Development Authority (NDC) are being investigated by the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
The office is particularly interested in a contract awarded by the NDA to A&Qs Consortium for consultant services under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme.
A statement from the Office of the Special Prosecutor signed by Mr Kissi Agyebeng on Tuesday, 26 July 2022, said the Special Prosecutor has ordered the Controller and Accountant General to hold with any payments relating to the deal.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor is probing the quantum of the contract sum.
The statement said: “The Special Prosecutor has invited the Coordinator for Special Initiatives at the Jubilee House and several serving officers, including the Chief Executive, and relevant past officers of the NDA and officers of A&Qs Consortium for questioning”.
Those invited have been placed on bail and would be charged and arraigned if found culpable.
